Little People!

If you don't see them for a while you start to miss those little people running around your house! We did get to see them today while their parents went shopping. We live next to a farm, and they always want to visit the cows, so of course that is what we did. Then Megan wanted to play babies and Connor wanted to play baseball. Grandpop and Connor played a serious game of baseball and Megan and I watched from the deck, as most ladies do. We drag the baby toys down from the loft to the deck so that Ashley (her baby) has some toys to play with while Megan and I watch the game. Needless to say, it was the most enjoyable visit ever, as they always are!

Women Friends

I just had dinner with three great women that I use to work with (before I was laid off). As I am aging I realize how important women friends are. I think I appreciate friends more now than ever. As we each took our turn telling each other what is going on in our lives, I looked around the table and thought how awesome this was. We laughed, cried & complained, all the things women do.
One of our friends was telling us about the new man in her life and how he may finally be the one. Another one was telling us about very good family friends whose young son just committed suicide. We couldn't even imagine going through something like that and what his parents must be going through. My third friend was telling us about the dinner her 21 year old son made for his girlfriends birthday. They showed her pictures of the food he prepared and she could not believe what he made. She is realizing how grown up he really is. And I of course told them how I am learning to do things on the computer and I have even started to blog, they could not believe it. I also told them that when I figure out something new and send it to my kids, they reply with, " how's the job hunt going?".
You see women friends are important in our lives, we listen to each other and we are there for each other, even if it is only dinner.

Family

Hello,
This being my first blog, of course I can't think of anything to write about! I am hoping the words will come easier each time I try this. You know how everyone loves their children, well I have the best! I know they think I am a pain in the , you know what sometimes, but they are great kids, or should I say adults. You never know how your children are going to be when they grow up. You raise them the best you can and say a lot of prayers! Needless to say, we are very lucky people.
My daughter is my rock, I am in all of her, how she and her husband work full time with very demanding jobs and still manage to enjoy their children. I was a stay at home mom for many years before I started a career. Things are very different today. She loves her job. Not many people can say that. My hat goes off to her!
Two of my sons work in the computer industry. Believe me, I would not be sitting here if it were not for them. It seems like every day I have questions for them regarding my computer. I love when they link in and help me remotely! They are very kind and patient with me, that is why they are my hero's!
My baby, who just graduated from college, is in the job market, and what a job market it is now! I have faith though that something will come through for both him and his soon to be (November) wife!
My husband is my best friend. I still smile when he comes in the door from work. I love hearing his stories about work. We all think he should write about the things that happen on the job, because they are too funny not to share with everyone.
Well, I think that is enough for now. This should help you know me a little better and know how grateful I am for the people that I have in my life.
