Yea Friday!

Well Little Miss can't be wrong from HowImetyourfather.blogspot.com/  tag some of us to tell everyone 5 things in our handbag we can't live without.  So here we go....

My bag is too big!  I am a firm believer that the bigger the bag the more stuff you put in it.  I really try and go through it every so often to lighten it up.  But what I can't live without is my wallet, sunglasses, lipstick - mac lipstick and gloss, but I first put on Lip rev-er upper from Bare Escentuals.  This fills in my lines around my mouth so my lipstick doesn't bleede (the older ladies will know what I am talking about). Gum, and my phone.  Yes, I am the only one who doesn't have a blackberry or Iphone!  My husband keeps telling me that I really don't need that type of phone, and he doesn't think it is worth paying an extra $30 a month for internet.  I can actually can get my Gmail on this phone, and some internet, can't get my verizon email though.
so that is what keeps me together when I go out.
Please feel free to take this TAG, and let us know what you have in your bag.

Going to Townsends Inlet in NJ this weekend to visit family.  I hope I can get some good pictures!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend without snow!!

Love ya,
Susan   (Tote)

Grandmom's Ball soup

Well here you go.  One of my family's favorite recipe's.  It goes back 2 generations.  My husband's grandmother's recipe.
This is a great recipe to get the kiddo's to eat their vegetables, and they won't even know it!

Grandmom's Ball soup

1 bag carrots
1 bag celery w/leaves
1 onion
1 can tomato paste
1 box Anci de Pepe pasta
                                                                       1 sm chicken

Fill 12qt pot (dutch oven) with water about 3/4 full
salt
add carrots
add celery w/leaves
add onion
add 1 sm can tomato paste
bring to boil, then add chicken
I usually simmer for about 4 hours.
remove chicken to plate to cool
remove vegetables to blender and puree
add puree back to broth and bring to boil
add Anci de pepe (pasta) cook according to directions.
take chicken apart and cut up to add to soup.

When soup is done, add some Parmesan cheese or a little mozzarella cheese
Enjoy

Happy Saturday!

It's the weekend, and every time I put something on Face book about the weekend my kids always have a comment how everyday could be a weekend for me, since I have been out of work.  I would love to get back to work, but I think I need to walk a little better!  This ankle and knee have been the bane of my existence!  I promise I will never ride another moped again!

Today has been very windy.  On the news they are saying 45 - 50mph!  I don't know why but wind scares me!  I can put up with rain or snow but wind seems more dangerous to me.  I have these images of roofs blowing off houses!  That is always the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear strong wind, isn't that crazy!

Do you every wonder where we get these feelings from?  I do, sometimes wondering if there is something deep in my mind from a previous life about the wind that disturbed me.  Oh, who knows, I think I worry too much about silly stuff!

breathtaking words

I have a list of things that I would like to get done today, so maybe I should get started.
I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend, or productive if you so choose.

Thank you so much to Empty Nest for the Valentines flower!  Please take and pass it on to say " thank you" to all of the bloggers that read our blogs.  Have a wonderful evening everyone!

I was watching the Today Show this morning and they were discussing the Love letter, and how it is becoming non existent.  This is due to technology, between e-mail and texting.  I believe this to be so true.  Everyone seems to be too busy to really sit down and think of something meaningful to say to their loved one.
Cupcake Queen
This will be a challenge for many of us.  I am taking this challenge on today.  I am going to write my hubby a love letter for valentines day.  He has been so good to me when I was laid up with my broken ankle.  He waited on me hand and foot, even down to helping me in and out of the shower.
I am making him a special dinner with the use of a tablecloth on the table!

is our secret safe tonight? ♥♫

He already brought me flowers and also bought me a radio/speakers for my ipod in my new office.  I just love the flowers and the radio/speakers are white so it matches my office!  So I think he deserves something nice don't you.

What will you be doing for your husband/boyfriend/partner tonight that will be special??bippity boppity boo

Lilly Pulitzer furniture!

I just found out that Lilly Pulitzer is now making furniture!  Now you can even have a happy living room!  I am really surprised that it took them this long to do this, since they have so many followers.  http://www.spylestyle.com/2010/10/lilly-pulitzer-home-collection
There is a great little blog Sophie Pyle Styles.  She talks about decorating and design.  Today she talked about the Lilly furniture.  These pic's are from her blog.
I just love this chair!

OK, I think maybe this chair is my favorite!

This is such a happy room.  This would pick up my spirits every time I walked in!

Wow, wouldn't you love to be able to put all your Lilly shoes in this!

Well, what do you think?  Check out her blog, I am sure you will love it as much as I do!

Birthday give a way!

Semi Wordless Wednesday Hosted by Flip Flops and Pearls

Well here is my semi wordless Wednesday.....babysitting grandkids because school was called off.

Can you tell they are watching a movie????  Little miss Megan is drying her fingers and toe's because Nonna polished them for her.

Have a great day, even if you are in the north east and chilly.  A nice cup of tea and a good book sounds good to me.

Susan
